A little about me…
I grew up in India, surrounded by colour, chaos, culture, and of course, Bollywood! With a father rooted in engineering and a mother drawn to art, I was constantly moving between logic and imagination. A duality that continues to shape my work.
I began my journey in interior design, drawn to the idea of transforming spaces. But it was The Grand Budapest Hotel that truly shifted something, opening my eyes to the magic of production design and storytelling at scale. This led me to Bollywood, where I worked as an Assistant Art Director, building worlds that audiences could visually step into and believe.
Wanting to go deeper, and to design for a live, breathing audience, I pursued an MFA in Scenic Design at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. That decision changed everything!
It took me to New York, where I interned with Derek McLane, and then to the Kennedy Center as a Scene Design Fellow. From there, I dove into productions across Washington, D.C. and around the U.S. that pushed me, challenged me, and fundamentally expanded how I think about design.
These experiences didn’t just refine my skills. They defined my voice.
Today, my work moves across film, theatre, and large-scale live events. No matter the medium, I’m interested in creating worlds that feel alive, spaces that hold emotion, memory, and meaning. The kind you don’t just see, but feel.
